The Giving Store - FVS

This is a program that is conducted by Flagler Volunteer Services.

For more than 30 years, during the holidays, Flagler Volunteer Services and the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has successfully conducted a Giving Store program in Flagler County. The Giving Store allows local children in Kindergarten through 5th grade the opportunity to select Holiday gifts for each member of their household free of charge. The goal has been to teach these children the “Joy of Giving” during the holiday season. Our Giving Store event is different than other Holiday events because it’s purpose is allowing children the opportunity to give gifts instead of receiving them. In an average year we serve over 350 children in Flagler County and provide nearly 2,000 gifts. The gifts can be for any age from a baby sibling to a grandparent who may reside with them. The event makes the holidays brighter for the children who participate, their family members and the volunteers that help make the Giving Store so successful.
