Flagler Cares provides opportunities for members of the community who desire to volunteer for Flagler Cares. The list of duties below details some of the responsibilities that a volunteer may complete but is not limited to. Volunteers are asked to commit eight hours per month of their time to Flagler Cares.

Duties/Responsibilities · Welcome consumers at the office front end. · Assist with answering the main phone line and routing the consumer to the appropriate party. · Gathering medical records for clients and completing a review of the records. · Completing consumer satisfaction calls. · Manage community resources and update resource directory. · Documentation of all interactions with consumers utilizing appropriate reporting mechanisms. · Prepare and participate in community outreach events. · Performs other tasks as requested by the Office Coordinator. · Observes all agency rules and policies. · Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities · Knowledge of community and social services. · Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills for addressing individual concerns and relaying accurate information to partners.
Education and Experience · Completion of a high school diploma or an equivalent program.
Physical Demands and Work Environment · Activities are performed in a typical interior/office work environment but may include meeting with clients at various locations. · While performing the duties of this internship, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
