10 male/females to set up tables & chairs near DJ & awards table

Fun Coast Down Syndrome Association is having the 21st Annual BUDDY WALK. This annual event is our only fundraiser. Our funds assist individuals with Down Syndrome with activities (arts/crafts, sports/physical activities, dance classes to increase their self-esteem & involvement in community events, as well as our annual local prom). It also provides parents with a safe place for their sons/daughters to nurture & grow their community presence & civil duty. Many of our parents are elderly, as their children are adults, still in need of direction. Teenagers & young adults volunteering are an essential need. We hope a good experience volunteering w/ developmentally disabled individuals will encourage volunteers to consider professions as teachers, therapists, or caregivers.

Date/Times: 11/7/26 - 9am in Central Park

Location: - Central Park – 975 Central Avenue, Palm Coast, FL 32164

Volunteer Needs:

1. 46 - 60 volunteers needed: Ten strong male/female needed to unload van w/tents & supplies @ 9am in Central Park, and to set tents up for carnival games. Ten additional male/females to set up tables & chairs near DJ & awards table. Twenty volunteers (2 to each tent) sit in tent to run the games). Two volunteers to assist w/ registration /volunteer t-shirt table, & two at sign in table (volunteer hrs./first aide table) & two to run ice & water when needed.

2. There are 5 tents w/ food or drinks that will need 1 or 2 adults to assist w/ set up, prepping, serving, and clean-up, take-down. Taking down/packing up the event will begin around 3 pm, (earlier if rain/storm occurs). Last year we were finished around 4 pm.

3. Volunteers, please leave phones on silence while volunteering.

4. Tickets for hot dogs & chips were given to all volunteers last year. Volunteers may purchase raffle tickets for prizes/baskets/gift card drawings throughout the event.

Age Limits: Teenagers 15 - 17 years of age, Adults over 18 years of age.

Community Service hours for school and/or college are accepted.
