Assist with Retail Store Food Pickups for "Our Father's Table" - Wednesdays

Volunteers are needed to assist with Retail Store Food Pickups for "Our Father's Table". Volunteers are responsible for picking up food donations once a month at BJs Wholesale Club or Publix in Island Walk and taking the food to the pantry in Bunnell to be placed in refrigeration. Dates and times needed are Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. for Publix and Thursday at 11:00 a.m. for BJs. The food that is picked up by the volunteers is used in the community meal every Saturday and in the food pantry distribution. This effort helps to serve the underfed in Flagler County by providing a home cooked meal or a mixed box of groceries that include frozen meat and fresh fruit and vegetables.

Volunteers must be able to drive their personal vehicle and lift boxes up to 40 pounds.

Community Service hours for school, college and/or court ordered community service hours are available. Volunteers must be 18 years of age.
